Here are 10 alarming facts about mental health that have spurred us into action:

Mental Health is a bigger problem than both cancer and cardiovascular disease. Despite this, treatment for mental health problems is still woefully inadequate.

20% of all young people will suffer with depression before they are 18 years old.

One in six children aged    5-16 are diagnosed with a mental health condition every year. That's 5 children in every classroom across the UK!

The estimated wider economic costs of mental health problems in the UK are over £105 billion each year

1 in 4 people will suffer from a mental health problem in their lifetime

Mental health is the single largest cause of disability in the UK

75% of young people who are experiencing mental health problems aren't recieving treatment

At any one time, 1/6th of the population will be experiencing a mental health problem

The rate of deaths by suicide among under 25s increased by 23.7% in 2018.

75% of all mental health issues originate before the age of 25
